Does China intend to participate in mediation in the Naka conflict? Ministry of Foreign Affairs: I hope all parties concerned will abide by the hard-won consensus on ceasefire

On October 23, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian presided over a regular press conference. A reporter asked about the current conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the Naka region, and asked whether China intends to participate in mediation.

Zhao Lijian said that China’s position on relevant issues has always been clear. China believes that maintaining regional peace and stability is in the interests of all parties including Azerbaijan and Armenia. China hopes that all parties concerned remain calm and restrained, abide by the hard-won ceasefire consensus, take measures to avoid further escalation of the situation, and resolve conflicts and differences through political dialogue.
