U.S. sanctions five Iranian organizations, accusing them of "interfering in the U.S. election"

The U.S. Treasury Department stated in a statement that it has determined that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the "Quds Brigade" and the Bayan Rasaneh Gostar Institute "directly or indirectly participate in, fund, collude or otherwise interfere in the U.S. presidential election."

In addition, the U.S. Treasury Department also determined that Iran’s Islamic Broadcasting and Television Union and the International Virtual Media Union are owned or controlled by the “Quds Brigade”.

"The Iranian government is trying to use false and misleading information to influence the U.S. election. The U.S. government will ensure the integrity of the U.S. election mechanism and continue to prevent foreign forces from threatening the election process." U.S. Treasury Secretary Stephen Mnuchin said.

According to reports, the new sanctions will freeze the assets of these organizations in the United States and prohibit American citizens from trading with them.

U.S. National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe said: "The U.S. has confirmed that some voter registration information has been obtained by Iran and has discovered that Iran has sent deceptive electronic messages to voters that are threatening and can cause social unrest and destruction. mail."

According to the report, some voters in Florida and other key states in the United States said they have received the information.

However, Iran summoned a Swiss envoy to use it to convey a protest against the United States for "baseless accusations."

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Said said that the accusations made by US officials are false and baseless. Iran strongly rejects it. Whoever wins the US presidential election has no effect on Iran.
